Employers! Get extra help and make a real difference in the life of a young person! Our young people are ready to work 5 to 15 hours a week in supported internships at no cost to you.

Learning to Work (LTW) places high school students, between the ages of 17.5 and 21, from the YABC program in high quality internships in the public, private, and non-profit sectors. The initiative aims to expand students’ knowledge of college and career options, and foster valuable workplace skills to help them both finish high school and prepare for future success.

Learning to Work

Learning to work (LTW) is an in-depth job readiness and career exploration component of YABC at Thomas Jefferson. Students who enroll in YABC have the opportunity to participate in LTW programs.

Leaning to work helps students develop the skills they need to complete high school, gain emplyment and succeed at work. they expand their knowledge of career and college option and plan meaningful experiences after high school.

Students who are enrolled in the YABC/LTW program have the opportunity to participate in job skills development activities, such as workshops, seminars, lectures, and volunteer internships.
